This 2-apartment home built in 1920 will once again be the site of a downsizing sale. We first conducted a sale here in June 2010 and to this day still talk about what a fun and interesting experience it was. The man of the house has just turned 90 and has decided to let go of more of his treasures. He worked for many years at Woolworth's in the Loop as the elevator operator and has always been an avid reader. He spends 5-6 hours a day reading. The walls of every room of his home are covered in bookshelves and original art. The books are categorized and knick-knacks have been artfully placed with the books that fit the theme in each section.

The sale will take place in the lower level, second floor landing, attic and garage. Every inch of wall space is dedicated to neat rows of books. Many of the books are antique and vintage hardcovers but there are also lots of vintage paperbacks and some more contemporary hardcovers. Many of the original oil paintings done by the homeowner as well as vintage home décor and furniture pieces will be available for sale as well. Plan to spend time perusing all of the books!
