Welcome to a new week and an impressive influx of new merchandise! We have been busy unpacking and displaying the offerings of the Santa Barbara Music Academy of the West, famous for the high-quality donations from their many supporters, as well other new sources.

Those who love a beautiful and well-appointed table will relish the fine china sets by Wedgwood, Minton, Royal Doulton, Haviland Limoges, and more, plus Franciscan pottery tableware, dramatic candlesticks, fine serving pieces including lovely silver selections, sparkling crystal – think stemware, bowls, barware, and serving pieces - the jewelry of a table or cocktail party, table linens, beautiful flatware, vases… high style for everyday use or full-on holiday elegance.

New rugs in clean modern palettes and beautiful antique patterns; boxes and boxes of fresh selections in art such as a grand portrait by a listed artist, framed sets of botanicals – always a joy to decorate with – oil paintings that include some fine landscapes, small antique colored lithographs in matching frames, western art reminiscent of our area, and a set of large framed landscape photographs to fill a wall.  

A fresh splash of new costume and fashion jewelry throughout the store; and such a variety of lamps in brass, crystal, pewter, wood, from contemporary to vintage; and new choices in delightful decorative mirrors to open up that dark or cramped spot in the home.

New furniture has arrived! A handsome Mandarin influenced tall set of open shelves, striking leopard print sofa and chair, many quality furnishings from Dennees of Santa Ynez, a dining table and red toile chairs, an armoire/media cabinet, and a king bed, a handsome open bookshelf / display  unit, a winter white sofa and loveseat, 3 great red leather & wood counter stools, charming Recamier or “fainting couch” in a neutral foliate fabric over light carved base; French marble topped, intricately inlaid cabinet on legs, a large parquet top heavily carved coffee table, unusual Adirondack style twig and reed petite outdoor lounge chair,  modest sized white shabby chic hutch, a pair of tall glass 3-sided display cabinets, an intriguing antique Spanish colonial cabinet fully polychromed with portraits and scenes painted on face and top, raised on curving legs, super versatile large ottoman on turned legs upholstered with antique kilim rug – for your walk-in closet or your new coffee table (we also have trays!).  A sublime pair of Queen Anne dove grey dining chairs paired with a glass top table – perfection! Comfortable & stylish!

Unexpected items indoors and out: a large custom iron gate with a central “goleta” schooner design, a contemporary faux fireplace cabinet, a collection of vintage painted signs, a satisfying white and blue ceramic set of canisters/cruets/spice jars, unusual decorative and useful items that are a delight to discover. Come early and come again! The “back room” is still full of inventory and another truckful has yet to arrive.
