A VERY FINE ANTIQUES, SILVER, VINTAGE-MODERN, & ASIAN ESTATE COLLECTION SALE
LOCATION: SCOTTSDALE AIRPARK BETWEEN SCOTTSDALE RD. & HAYDEN ROAD (ADDRESS TO BE LISTED ON THIS SITE THE WEEK OF THE SALE)
Set (2) Large, Old Master Oil Portrait Paintings on Canvas, attrib. to John Hayls (1600-1679), Sir Richard Ingleby and Lady Ingleby respectively, each in immaculate condition from a local Scottsdale estate. The pieces have been professionally re-lined, restored, and placed in antique figural mounted frames near the end of the 19th century..The family purchased the paintings in England in approx. 2005/6, as the frames bear old English Manor tags, from the original English Estate having them on display at some earlier point. Furthermore, previous records found for the artwork, show them being attributed and offered at Sotheby's UK in 2004, with an estimate of GBP 6,000-8,000 ( USD $9,200 - USD$12,200)...And then they were found in 2005 to be with English Registery numbers, likely to be placed into a museum or collection, but were released and sold to an unknown buyer, eventually purchased in 2005/2006 by the Estate owner here in Arizona, who had temporary residence in England at the time..(each viewable canvas: 51"h x 38"w).
