Listing Information

Two important libraries totalling about 6,000 desirable and rare books will be sold in Denver next week at prices between $1 and $50, with a few higher priced items. A collection of over 100 paintings and prints by listed Colorado, American, and international artists will also be for sale, all at markdown prices. At 2119 Curtis Street, Downtown Denver. Thursday, July 30th, Friday July 31st, and Saturday August 1st, each of the three days from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday August 2nd from noon to 5pm.

The first library was assembled by a former curator at the Denver Art Museum and published author. In addition to reference books, there are books from a pioneer Colorado family, and materials owned by a superintendent of Rocky Mountain National Park and Yellowstone National Park, and by a 19th Century U.S. Senator from Colorado. The second is the library of a poet, Beat writer, and publisher who was active in Denver and San Francisco. 

Subject matter includes:

American Indians, Anthropology, Antiques, Art, Art History, Avant Garde, Beat, Bibliographies, Book Collecting, Coffee Table, Colorado and Regional Art, Dada, Denver History, Ethnography, Food and Drink, Hawaiiana, Industrial Catalogs, Jazz, Modern First Editions, Photography, Playing Cards, Small Press, Poetry, Press Books, Printing, Reference, Science Fiction, Surrealism, South America, Textiles, Voyages, Western History, and much more.

Many hardcover and paperbacks, and thousands of good, general books priced at $1 or $2/each.
