Listing Information
Remember the comfy slippers Aunt Gladys gave you for Christmas? Well, you might want to grab ‘em for this sale. We are in the Richardson Heights area this week in a home that is packed! We say this because we used approximately 10,000 pricing stickers, give or take a few 1000! There is so much to see, you might want to bring an energy bar too! Immediately upon entering this house you are met with a living area filled with beautiful furnishings. A fabric covered floral print sofa and loveseat are to your left with an antique English dining room set directly in front of you. The chairs matching the table have handmade needlepoint seat covers with a floral design. A vintage oil lamp with a Milk glass shade is something you won’t want to miss. There are sets of stainless flatware in chests displayed on the sofa, along with one set of gold plated flatware. Around the room you will also find sets of gold-tone teacups, saucers and beautiful serving pieces. Crystal serving pieces and glassware are among the items on the dining table. There is a large buffet and china cabinet matching the dining table and chairs. You will also find a smaller buffet with a marble top and splashboard. Artwork, from original to prints, fill the walls. Regardless of your taste in art, you are certain to find a piece to add to your collection. As you leave the living area, you find another dining table that is also filled with crystal glassware and serving pieces. Don’t miss the various pieces of Fostoria glassware. The built-in bookcases are now home to several set of china, to include Noritake “Shenandoah” and “Carola” patterns and a set of Thun Bohemian Czechoslovakia “Savoy” and Royal Doulton’s “Carlyle” pattern. There are shelves of Hobnail Milk Glass in assorted sizes and types. Set of crystal goblets, iced tea and water glasses set among the decorative platters and serving pieces. An Elsmere platter is also at home here. What a great find! As you enter the kitchen area, sets of teacups and saucers in all shapes and sizes greet you. There are many pieces of cookware and baking pans displayed. You will also find vintage corning ware and Pyrex pieces sitting next to the toaster oven. Be sure to check out the vintage salt and pepper shakers sitting on the window ledge above the sink. Don’t miss the 6-pack of Coca-Cola bottles commemorating the Texas Motor-speedway! From the kitchen, you step down into the “holiday” room. There are so many items to see here, your eyes won’t know what to focus on first! Is it the collection of miniature pitchers, or maybe the collection of dolls, how about the sparkling Christmas ornaments? It just might be the mid-century cedar chest is sitting below the small curio cabinet on the wall with a floral print loveseat next to it. Did you see the collection of rocking chairs for the dolls? Easter decorations of all sorts are here just in time! There are decorations for each holiday, but the Christmas decorations are everywhere! Some of the most beautiful decorations you’ve ever seen, many still in their original boxes. There are many Lenox Christmas serving pieces and decorative ware. Wreaths, wall-hangings and wrapping paper can be found throughout this room. There is also a three-piece wall unit against the side wall. In the large closet there are more Coca-Cola collectables, including a large wall clock and serving trays. Tins of every shape and size are next to the shelving units that are home to, among other items, a vintage Mickey Mouse tray, a bread maker, canning jars and a Lucite cowboy hat bowl! In the corner there is a Hotpoint “dorm size” refrigerator. As you head down the hallway to the bedrooms, you can’t miss the large 3-D arts and crafts Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.
