Sale Summary: We have been commissioned to liquidate the estate of a lifetime southwest Missouri man, an avid sportsman, hobbyist and collector. For both privacy and security, his widow has asked that we not publish his name in association with the sale, and for those same reasons the sale will be held at a separate site. Once again, the fine folks at College Press have allowed us the use of their former facility at 3rd and Wall in Joplin, and we’re moving the Estate items there for this sale. (That fine old building is on the market, by the way, so be sure to give it a look while you’re at our sale.) While a wide variety of his tools, recreational equipment, and other personal items will be a part of an Estate Tag sale, his prolific and very high quality gun collection will be handled separately. Our collector was very particular about his Firearm collection, and accordingly his widow has directed that all the weapons be sold in full compliance with Federal regulations, and we will comply with that by way of an auction by a Federally licensed Firearm Dealer and Auctioneer. We’re pleased to join forces with Gail “Trip†Triplett and his Carl Junction Auction Service Crew for this portion of the Estate Liquidation. As for compliance procedures, here’s the Official statement: SPECIAL NOTE- ATTENTION! The estate has ordered that all weapons be sold in accord with ATF regulations. This means that all sales of post 1898 made firearms will require a completed form 4473 and a background check. All licensed dealers must provide a file copy of their current FFL and will receive a file copy of our FFL. If you are a collector with a C&R license, we will need a copy of your license in exchange for ours. Out of state handgun purchasers must have pistol shipped to FFL dealer in their state. There will be no firearms at the site of the Auction until the day of the Sale. Please note there are 14 fine Luger pistols in this collection.
