Listing Information

Raise your hand if your mother or grandmother had the copper-colored Jell-O molds hanging in the kitchen. Yep, just as I thought, so if you are looking to replace some, or just want to start that great tradition all over again, this house is the place to start. Right here in the Woodhaven area of Richardson is a house that takes you to a different era in each room. You immediately get an idea of what we are saying as you enter the foyer. A mid-century buffet against the wall has an oval “Victorian-esque” mirror and floral arrangement hanging above. In the corner is a three-tiered round wicker shelf. The large formal living/dining room to the left is home to a wonderful assortment of decorative items, glassware, art and furniture. Twin bookcases along the wall holds several beautiful Capodimonte pieces, a collection of Snow Babies, collection of vases – some hand-painted, Hummel figurines, pottery and many other vintage decoratives. Atop the large Early American table is a vast collection of “salts”. You know we aren’t referring to the bath kind. These are in all sizes and forms; some have feet, others pedestal-type bases, some are crystal, others are porcelain. Needless-to-say, if you are a collector you are sure to find something new for your collection. Among the salts are ruby red pieces, a pewter butter dish, amber water glasses and assorted pitchers. The dining chairs hold pieces of silver plated items to add to your list. The matching china cabinet at the end of the dining area houses several sets of crystal stemware that should not be overlooked!

Need to replace your toaster over? An assortment of small appliances will greet you as you enter the kitchen. Hey, there is that large gold and white Pyrex bowl that replaces the one the kids broke 25 years ago while using it to wash the dog. Your set is complete again. Blue hobnail pieces and a Santa stand up cake pan are hidden treasures to be found. Monkey pod and glass bowls sit side by side in this area. There is also another Early American dining table and chairs in the breakfast area. Not as large as the first one, but with all the touches that bring out the “warm and fuzzy” feelings. Depression glass, Milk glass, a set of Noritake’s Gala Cuisine “American Flowers” dinnerware, crystal glassware and more assorted pitchers are on the built in bookcase. Don’t miss the copper serving pieces! And there they are…the Jell-O molds……..the heart-shaped was always my favorite.

Many of the ladies here at Just Let Lynn Do It! enjoy the hardware stores as much as the shoe stores, so don’t take for granted the cool stuff in the garage. Like the 3-section warming dish, or all of those books! Collector of “the flying red horse” memorabilia? You’ve got to see the Magnolia First Aid Kit. No collector should be without one of these! With summer heading our way, you might want to grab up the sets of popsicle makers. Those bring back some great memories……You might also want to take a look at the replacement coffee pots; you know, that Mr. Coffee 10-cup you’ve been meaning to replace but keep forgetting? Yeah, that one.

As we make our way back inside, we are back to our childhood as Barbie, Ken, Skipper and Skooter carrying cases come in to view. They are just past the door rack of BEANIE BABIES! Vintage and new beanies, dolls, stuffed animals, and more dolls and beanies surround the room. There is even a “beanie” wagon. Not all are “babies” there are some pretty good sized ones in this collection. Don’t let the toys distract from the great furniture they sit on. A wonderful Early American desk with built in bookcase sits in one corner with an Early American chest in the next. Sitting between them is a large wicker hamper with a bear’s face on the front. A great toy box for any child. Three of the seven dwarfs’ figurines are here, too. I bet at least one of them would complete your set.

The built-in desk/bookcase in the family room has become a showplace for the vast collection of vases. These hand painted white frosted vases and decorative pieces range in age from antique to new. They are most certainly items that catch your eye, make you slow down, if only for a moment, and smile. On the top shelf is a great mantle clock, so don’t let the vases sweep you away. Great furniture is ready to be taken home. Leather and fabric sofa with a matching overstuffed recliner are just too comfortable to pass. In front of the fireplace is leather rocker/recliner just waiting for you! The stands for the glass topped coffee table and matching end table are beautiful as well as fascinating. You just need to see them. Oh, yeah, check out the “El Machinete” from El Salvador that are on the sofa. The bar area is where you will see a great assortment of barware (naturally). In the corner, though, don’t miss out the bags of costume jewelry! You know you want it!!

There are picture frames throughout the house and the hallway is no exception. From antique oval with convex glass to trees with frame “blossoms” line your path to the bedrooms. The master suite is the last room on the left. As you enter, you are taken back in time as you gaze upon the fabulous Victorian sofa and two matching chairs. Covered in a dark pink velvet, you are beckoned to its touch. The coffee table and end tables are topped in marble, with lamps matching the period. Simply stated, you must see it to fully appreciate its beauty. Also in the room, you will find more Early American bedroom furniture such as a dresser with twin mirrors and a great chest of drawers. Don’t let the furniture distract you from the great poodle skirt hanging on the door! Did you check out the motorcycle jackets? You will find brands such as Olympic, Joe Rocket, Power Trip and MotoCentric to name a few. A great gift for the riders in your family.

The next room takes you to Christmas world. While there are decorations for most all holidays, Christmas tops the list. Ribbon, holly, garland, gift boxes, stuffed Santa figures of all sizes, and, well the list just goes on and on. In the white curio cabinet, you will notice a couple of Nativity scenes that simply gorgeous. There is a section of patriotic decorations you will want to have on hand for the 4th of July.

In the third bedroom you can find items from office equipment to an antique vanity. A white wicker rocker sits next to a desk chair and a variety of office supplies. The Early American coffee table has a great computer monitor and HP printer sitting there waiting to go home with you. The antique chest and mirror in the corner is filled with collectable Betty Boop items from vintage to new. You are sure to find something for your collection. Don’t miss the great little 2-drawer nightstand or the Smith-Corona electric typewriter.

Now that Spring has sprung, most of us are looking to decorate our yards. Here you can find an assortment of flower pots and some great yard art. A gnome or a cute little frog would make a great addition to any yard.
