Sale Summary:
We have been commissioned to liquidate the estate of a lifetime southwest Missouri man, an avid sportsman, craftsman, hobbyist and collector. For both privacy and security, his widow has asked that we not publish his name in association with the sale, and for those same reasons the sale will be held at a separate site. Once again, the fine folks at College Press have allowed us the use of their former facility at 3rd and Wall in Joplin, and we’re moving the Estate items there for this sale. (That fine old building is on the market, by the way, so be sure to give it a look while you’re at our sale. Our friend Spencer Aggus has the listing.)

This will be a little different approach for us – we’re actually conducting 2 separate sales this weekend. On Saturday, we’ll conduct a Tag sale, and provide you with a wide variety of his Collectibles, tools, recreational equipment, and other personal items. This Early Bird letter focuses on that Sale.

On Sunday afternoon, we will conduct a separate AUCTION next door in the same building to sell his prolific and very high quality gun collection. We’ll do that with the assistance of licensed firearm Dealer and Auctioneer Gail”Trip” Triplett. You can learn about the Sunday Firearm auction by following this link to http://www.estatesales.net/estate-sales/359865.aspx .

Since we’re liquidating primarily HIS portion of their Estate, We’ve referred to this one as a Guy Sale! Please don’t take that as chauvinist – just our way of letting you know there’s not much glassware, linens, etc. this week! I’m sure you ladies will still find things to interest you, and especially in the sporting and hobby areas, it’s been a long time since many of those items would be of interest only to guys! I will say this: Guys, this one is your reward for tagging along with your wives to all our other Sales! Quality and condition of most things in this sale ranges from good to excellent. Because of that, there are some really great possibilities for gifting here, from like new tools to Collectibles to nifty outdoor stuff.

You’ll find a very nice variety in areas of interest. The range includes Collectibles and utility stuff. It includes big Shop tools and kitchen drawer hand tools. It includes serious sporting goods and big boy toys… and of course there’s some just plain useful everyday stuff. As usual, some things will be “ooh’s and aah’s,” some will be “take it home and use it” stuff, some is just fun stuff, and yes, there are some really unusual and interesting pieces. As always, if you don’t know what it is, ask us. We’ll either be glad to share what we know, or make up a cool story for it!
