Listing Information

Crossing the threshold of this home, you find yourself taken back in time. Each room holds treasures from days gone by. From a mid-century dresser to hanging swag lamps to a Rubik’s cube, you can find it all here. The living room is where you begin this journey. There are lamps of all sorts, don’t miss the swag lamp in the corner with the brown and gold rings (colors we all loved in the 70’s), a blue rocker-recliner, a navy blue fabric wing back chair, book shelves and many great decorative items. A favorite of the 60’s, a square turquoise foot-stool helps to complete the “throwback” look! The green reproduction mid-century love seat is comfortable and in great shape. Beautiful art hangs in the living room; originals, signed prints and many “retro” pieces can be found. Here, too, is where the pipes and accessories are. Speaking of smoke, now is a good time to buy fireplace accessories as we have them, too.

Between the living area and dining area is a wonderful Broadwood upright piano. Even if you don’t play, it is a beautiful piece of furniture. Tables are filled with crystal, glassware and silver plated serving pieces. There is also a copper chaffing dish and several copper serving pieces. The pewter wine goblets would add that special touch to any gathering. The wall unit is made by Broyhill in their Sculptra design; A piece that would look great in any home. In this wall unit are decorative plates, platters, clocks and several milk glass pieces. Don’t miss the Amber Tiara Ware on top! Two mid-century teak wood bookcases are filled with books, imagine that, with subjects for all interests. There are several coffee table books on movies through the decades.

In the kitchen we have a nice assortment of small appliances, cookware, glasses and coffee mugs. You Aggies out there, don’t overlook the mugs! As a matter of fact, there are Aggies in almost every room. Unique utensils and gadgets are worth taking a look at as you never know what is in the box.

Just down the hall, the first room on the left is where you will see the collection of 60+ wooden cigar boxes. Just imagine all the cool things you could make with these. We have electronic components, golfing accessories, vintage games and puzzles. Cameras? Oh, yeah, from vintage Polaroid to 35mm to digital; a set of Smith-Vector movie lights and a Studio Goldline V all-in-one transfer system are waiting to go to a new home. Who remembers Coleco?? Well, there is even a Coleco Telstar game system. The Bell & Howell Super Auto Load projector is in great condition and ready to show your home movies from “back in the day”. The art here is not something you see often; like the poster for “Queen of Outer Space” starring Zsa Zsa Gabor or the mighty Thor sign. Don’t leave this room without seeing the 2 decorative tin masks. Ornate in design, they are great conversation pieces. Show the kids what our “keyboards” looked like with the Royal 400 manual typewriter. How fun was it learning on that?!

The back bedroom not only has holiday decorations, there is also a Sears Kenmore sewing machine in the cabinet and a cedar chest to preserve your precious items. Two small chests would go perfect with the trundle bed and just complete a room. Oh how cute! It’s the Energizer bunny, going and going and going……Hey, does dad need a bowling ball? We even have the shoes to match. Is a vacuum cleaner on your list? We have 2 Kirby vacuums each with the attachments. Once you have vacuumed the carpets, you will need the Hoover Carpet Cleaner. It’s in the closet. You must have seen the 3 handmade quilts. Such beautiful pieces; a true labor of love.

The master suite is at the end of the hallway and has the king size bed you’ve been looking for. The mid-century dresser has lots of drawer space and is a great piece to add to any home. You can find a variety of storage chests/cabinets here: a tall 5-drawer chest, a TV cabinet and even shelves for shoes. For the first time in quite a while, we have a nice selection of men’s clothing and shoes. For the large, lovable man in your life this is just for him: suits, shirts – dress and casual, jeans and slacks. Sizes range from XX tall in the shirts to 38-40/34 in jeans and slacks. The men’s shoes are a size 14; a gently worn and well taken care of assortment, they are a bargain at any price. I’m sure you have noticed 2 blue cylindrical swag lamps; don’t you just love ‘em? Hello 1970! Oh, if you are a fan of the movie “Fargo” check out the snow globe! It is just too much!

With the garage being in the front of this house, you may want to stop in there first. You can find just the right size storage tubs for that organizing project you’ve been meaning to do! We have lots to choose from. If bowling wasn’t your game, maybe fishing is. We have just the right rod and reel for you. Father’s day is here and you just might be able to find some lawn equipment, there’s both power and hand tools. Dad would love those to go with his new tie.

It was good seeing all our friends again last week. Come on back and this time why not bring one of your friends? Let them see just how much fun estate sales can be. See ya’ this weekend.
