Listing Information

Not too long ago, we were at a home with items “from around the world”. We find ourselves at a home where the contents are “from around the world” and back again. Some of the most beautiful and unusual treasures are in every corner of this house.

The furniture ranges from antique to mid-century to Asian to modern, an oak Barrister’s case and hand carved wooden trunks. Speaking of trunks, check out the restored steamer trunk! In the front bedroom is an Eastlake dresser with matching bed. You will also find an animal print side chair, a tall bamboo table and an antique oak table. A brown leather arm chair and matching ottoman are close to the Asian carved side table.

Of course there is cookware in the kitchen, lots and lots of cookware. The white corning ware ranges from mid-century to new. Pieces that are hard to find can be found here!

Glassware so colorful you won’t believe your eyes! Ruby red, cobalt blue, lemon yellow and list goes on. There is Depression glass, Opalescent glass, Carnival glass, cut crystal and much, much more. The china sets include Shelburne by Noritake and Haviland white trimmed in gold. There is also a set of Star of Thailand brass flatware in a wooden case! Wait, you have to see the Lusterware tea set by Ohikaramachi and made in Japan. We have masks, no, not Halloween masks, masks from all around the world! An African ceremonial mask, hand carved wooden masks, decorative masks; there is even one by Frida Kahlo. All so beautiful. There are several “collections” such as: cat figurines from Oaxacan, alligators with inlaid gemstones, crosses made from all types of materials, birds/pelicans, bottles oh, there are bottles everywhere. Day of the Dead figurines and wait ‘til you see the pottery! Many have 3D embellishments making them even more unique than most others. We have Santa Claus figurines, perfume bottles and holiday decorations from everywhere! We even have an antique African Wedding Head Dress. Yeah, you’ll be saying WOW!

Art supplies and frames fill a room! There is everything you need to create wonderful works of art. And frames? There must be over 200 frames in every size and style you can think of. They are in the house and the garage. Speaking of art, there is so much art that there was not enough room to hang it all! Breathtaking originals and prints……so much to see. Don’t miss the collection of original “rooster” art. Not to be overlooked is the Hisico industrial sewing machine. There are buttons and beads and rick-rack and bolts of lace and other embellishments too numerous to list.

We have Happy Buddah statues, jade boxes and figurines, sea shell trivits and a collection of sea shells. Decorative platters, a 1960’s Capiz shell light fixture, a large collection of Tonala pottery and you can even find a rain stick here. Clocks from all around the world are throughout the house and yes, they do tell Texas time!

There are designer lady’s purses, boots in every style imaginable and furs. Yep, we have the short style Mink coat and a Leopard coat. So very beautiful.

I could write all day long and still the words just don’t do these items justice. The photos help, but this house is filled with items that must actually be seen in person to fully appreciate their beauty. Honestly, this sale is one you just can’t miss!
