Listing Information

While all the estate sale homes are charming in their own way, we find ourselves this week in a home that is open, bright, clean and inviting.

The hardwood floors hold beautiful wool area rugs and furniture that has been lovingly cared for.  Sofas that are comfortable, overstuffed chairs covered in brown leather or in striped fabric, and ivory fabric covers an oversized chair that begs for you to curl up with a blanket and book. An oval coffee table with a glass top sitting on a decorative wrought iron base completes the main living area well.

In the formal dining room the glass top table sits atop an ornate wood base with ball and claw feet.  The chairs have similar detail and matching feet.   Truly works of art.  The lighted, 2 door, triple pane china cabinet is breathtaking.  The beveled glass helps the crystal to sparkle even brighter under its lights.  The Waterford crystal picture frames are dazzling!  In front of the windows sits a wooden chest amazingly carved.  Don’t miss this one!  You can find a set of “Sheraton Rose” china by Walbrych, Poland, and a set of Mikasa “Wedding Band”. There are silver-plate serving pieces you should check out in the dining area.  There is also a lovely glass top sofa table and a pair of cherry wood cabinets.

In the master bedroom, the king size bed boasts an intricately carved tall headboard and footboard, along with a bedside chest and a small table with open shelves (a nice size that could be used in any living area).  The TV cabinet holds all the electronic equipment you need.  Other bedrooms have wrought iron queen beds.  Stylish, they are something you would want to show off! As always, there is an assortment of sheets, pillows and other bedding to fit.

You will find books, on shelves, all over the house.  There are children’s books, there are books with pictures to look at, there are books that are just for reading and there are also books you want on your shelves just to make you look smart!  Something for everyone!

Kitchen houses gadgets of all sorts.  Things you didn’t even know you needed!  Cookware by AllClad, Calphalon and MPS at prices you won’t believe.  Dinnerware, glassware…..anything you need to set a proper table, whether it’s formal dinner or a casual lunch by the pool, you can find what you need right here.  We have sets of white dinnerware:  a huge set of “Let’s Eat” by Retroneu, and smaller sets by Ikea and CB2.  There is also a 50 piece set of Christmas dinnerware by Waechtersbach in that great Christmas red.  Small appliances of all sorts and unique kitchen finds are everywhere.  You can also find the square antique table and chairs.  The table is great as it has the leaves built in!

If you’re a clock lover, you can find some of the most unusual ones right here.  Clocks in golf balls, clocks in golfers!, clocks on stands, round and square, wall hanging and chiming……yep, all that.

If you are looking for military memorabilia we have it!  Uniform jackets, Garrison covers, ties, belts and overcoats.  They are in the closet where the fur coats are.  There is a sheared beaver with fox collar from Stanley Korshak, a street-length cheetah, and a natural raccoon stroller from Neimans that is simply gorgeous!

Throughout the house there are lamps, pillows, and decorative items – modern and antique.

You will love the 2 school desks from “back in the day” as they are in great condition.  Just like the authentic shoe shine stand next to them.  Complete with the drawers to hold your supplies.  What wonderful conversation starters.

There are several “collections” around the house: tea cups and saucers, salt and pepper shakers, swizzle sticks, porcelain bells, shot glasses and even the Pillsbury Doughboy!  How could we forget the dolls?  Dolls to play with, dolls to make clothes for, dolls to make you say “I remember her” and dolls you didn’t play with.  And while not exactly a “collection”, there is a huge amount of costume jewelry!

In the bedroom holding the Christmas decorations is a great selection of light-up buildings, decorations and ornaments.  There are even ornaments from the White House.  Beautiful gold ornaments to dress up any tree.

The media room is where you can find a fantastic Victrola.  Sitting in a wooden cabinet with drawers, it appears as though it was just delivered by the horse-drawn delivery wagon!  There is even a great selection of 78’s to get you started.  You can also find many modern electronic pieces by makers such as Denon, Sony, Toshiba and JVC.  Receivers, multi-disc players, DVD/VHS players, DVD players, printers, just to name a few.  A great assortment of office items, accessories and all sorts of little gadgets.

Don’t overlook the garage!  You will miss golf clubs, a Prince tennis raquet, fans, tools and other “typical” garage finds.  There is also a vintage metal glider, as well as a wrought iron table and chairs, just waiting to be taken to their new homes.

We are really excited about this sale and want to share these unique and well cared for items with our friends.  We not saying “don’t miss this one”, but DON’T MISS IT!!!  See ya’ Friday!
