The Japanese collection showcases museum-quality Meiji era pieces, with particular strength in cloisonne and Satsuma pottery. Notable makers include Namikawa Yasuyuki, whose work appears in multiple lots including miniature censers and jars demonstrating his mastery of gold and silver wire techniques. The Satsuma pottery collection features works by Seikozan, Yabu Meizan, and pieces from the Naruse Seishi Tohaku-en workshop. The sale includes a significant Meiji era bronze elephant by Sano Takachika for Kakuha, along with carved okimono figures and a comprehensive selection of ginbari cloisonne vases.

Chinese decorative arts span from Qing dynasty export porcelain to Republic era pieces, including Canton ware, famille rose, and wucai porcelain. The collection features an impressive copper red dragon vase and multiple jade carvings, including pendants, seals, and figures. A substantial collection of snuff bottles showcases diverse materials from jade and agate to cloisonne and painted glass.

Significant Tibetan thangkas from the collection of William L. Hanaway, Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and an Anglo-Indian kutch tankard round out the antique Asian offerings.

Russian religious art features multiple Imperial Russian icons with silver oklads, including examples by identified makers and assayers from the late 19th century. Travel icons with gilt and enameled decoration represent personal devotional objects from the Imperial period.

The fine art selection includes works by European and American painters such as Rockwell Kent, Christopher G. Willett, Walter Douglas, Melville Stark, Louis Smets, Henry Ward Ranger, and Ray Overpeck, alongside additional American and European painters. Together, these 19th and 20th century artists represent a strong offering of landscapes, impressionist scenes, and modernist compositions that broaden the scope of the sale’s collecting categories.

Designer handbags include Gucci and Louis Vuitton pieces, while the decorative arts section features Herend porcelain, art glass by Craig Zweifel and Rollin Karg, and American art pottery.

Garden sculpture by Susan Opie presents oversized bronze insects with verdigris patina, while Steven R. Snyder contributes worked stone pieces. The sale includes substantial stained glass architectural elements, and French bronze sculptures.

Specialty items include historic documents such as correspondence from Thomas Penn, Civil War memorabilia, and early printed works. The collection also features 17th century celestial maps and other significant archival material, adding depth for collectors of rare historical items. Camera equipment, sterling silver, and diverse collectibles further broaden the appeal of this comprehensive sale.
